Amanda Nye, Artistic Director & Owner
Meet Amanda Nye, Owner & Artistic Director. Amanda studied dance education at Bowling Green State University in the College of Human Movement and Development. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in August of 2016. Amanda was apart of the Repertory Assemble, BGSU Dance Team (2013 to 2014) and University Dance Alliance as a Vice President at Bowling Green State University. She has a varied and extensive background in dance from Studio 82 in Cleveland, Ohio including ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, modern, tumbling, acro, contemporary, tap, cheerleading, hip hop, ballroom, and combo classes. Amanda's dance related experiences include Dance Teacher, Imagine Madison Dance Teacher 2017 to 2018, AmeriDance Judge, Founder of Maumee Dance Team - High School and Middle School, Maumee High School Assistant Varsity Cheerleading Coach, Tahyah's Dance Studio Instructor, Ashland University Choreographer and Toledo School For The Arts Dance Teacher. Amanda is excited to continue her dance career with the Nye Dance Productions dancers.

Tyler Nye, Director & Owner
Meet Tyler Nye, Owner & Assistant Director. Tyler graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education. Tyler is currently a middle school Science teacher at Bowling Green City Schools. At Nye Dance Productions Tyler can be found at the front desk and taking care of all the behind the scenes operations.

Kendall Chapple, Ballet & PBT Director
Kendall Chapple began her dance training in grade school as a Dare To Be Moved full scholarship recipient with BalletMet Columbus Dance Academy. During her time there, she completed rigorous classical ballet, modern dance, and choreography composition curriculum; all while performing several roles around Central Ohio with the academy’s performance ensemble and select BalletMet professional company productions, such as Cinderella and The Nutcracker. She received additional stage and performance experience as a member of the Fort Hayes Arts High School Performance Ensemble, Judy Dollenmayer Studio of Dance Senior Elite company, and the University of Toledo Dancing Rockettes. Currently— in addition to being a certified fitness instructor— Kendall is in her fourth year as an NFL Detroit Lions Cheerleader, where she serves as the team Fitness Lead and a Captain. Kendall is passionate about using her fitness background and extensive dance experience to provide challenging dance classes that also promote safe, sustainable, healthy habits for life!

Jamila Coleman, Instructor
Jamila Scott Coleman, born and raised in Toledo, Oh. She started dancing at the age of 5. Jamila was trained in tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical at the Toledo Workshop of Dance. She is a proud 2008 graduate of the Toledo School for the Arts, where she majored in music and dance. Jamila's passion for dance continued after high school in which she went on to study tap at the Bowling Green State University. Currently, Jamila heads the liturgical dance ministry at her church. Jamila is a substitute teacher and entrepreneur by day.

Rapheal Griffin, Instructor
Rapheal Griffin has over 28 years of teaching and choreography experience, having instructed young children through adults. She is currently an instructor in dance at Owens Community College and also has taught at various studios throughout Northwest Ohio. Rapheal holds an M.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Michigan and a B.S in Dance Education from Bowling Green State University. Rapheal is a 3rd year company member of Toledo’s first professional modern dance company, T.H.E. Modern Dance Company. Rapheal is also Toledo’s Modern Dance Company Artistic Director of THE2, a preprofessional apprentice dance company for youths ages 13 to 18. While Rapheal specializes in modern dance, she also has extensive teaching, performing, and choreography experience in Contemporary, Ballroom, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Ballet.

Jewellia Gust, Instructor
Jewellia Gust (Jewell) has been dancing since she was a toddler. She attended Toledo School For The Arts during middle school and high school, where she furthered her technical training, learned the fundamentals of choreography, and learned stage managing for dance productions. Jewell also competed and with Company C Dance Club, the Perrysburg Dance Team, and Daryl Jervis Dance Studio. Her professional career started at the YMCA where she taught into to ballet. Through Nye Dance Productions, Jewell hopes to inspire creativity and individuality among her students.

Kadyn Miller, Instructor
Kadyn Miller started dancing at the age of 11. Even though she started out later then others, she knew it was her passion! Kadyn is a graduate of NYE dance Productions. She was a competitive dancer for 8 years. In her senior year she accomplished so much, such as traveling to California for nationals. She is trained in various styles, such as jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, and her two favorites, contemporary and lyrical. As well as dancing her senior year, she found the true love to teach and share the love of dance with others. Kadyn loves the family aspect of NYE and is so thrilled to be working on both sides of the studio, as a teacher and working the front desk. Kadyn hopes to share her love she found in dance with so many more!

Zoë Parsons, Instructor
Zoë began her dance training at The Canton Ballet at the age of 3. Her background also includes jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and baton twirling. Zoë studied dance education at Bowling Green State University and received her Bachelors of Science in Education in 2014. She has worked for EnerGy National Dance Competition and That’s Entertainment Performing Arts Competition. She was the dance teacher and choreographer for Toledo Public Schools from 2015-2022. She received her state educator license in 2021 and will be teaching dance at Toledo School for the Arts starting this fall. This will be her 3rd season with Nye Dance Productions!

Samantha Roth, Instructor
Sam Roth has been dancing since grade school. Her dance career started at Toledo School for the Arts where she graduated in 2014. Sam has experience in a multitude of styles including contemporary, jazz, modern, hip hop, ballet, and tap. Sam has taught and choreographed for several studios in the Toledo area. Her work has been featured in TSA's production of Limitless. She also served as head coach for the Southview Cougarettes and co-coached with Mrs. Amanda Nye on Maumee High School Dance Team. Sam spends her days with her family and working as a nurse. She is so thrilled and excited to be part of the Nye Dance Productions family!

Lillian Stichler, Instructor
Lillian Stichler has been dancing since she was six years old. She was a competitive dancer for 8 years, soloist for 5, on the Maumee High School Dance Team for three, served two of those years as captain and completed one year on the University of Toledo Dance Team. Lillian studied Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet and Pointe at local Toledo dance studios. She is a positive, skilled, and motivated dancer with over thirteen years’ of dance. Lillian is now a Registered Nurse graduated from The University of Toledo with her BSN and working as a Pediatric Emergency Nurse.

Paris Wellman, Instructor
Paris Wellman has been dancing for the past twenty years. She has done summer intensives at The Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. She is a Toledo School For The Arts alumni. Paris went on to Otterbein University to obtain her B.A in Allied Health with a Psychology Minor. While at Otterbein University Paris was a cheerleader for four years. Paris was apart of professional showcases, competitions, and even danced with her students at competitions at the Fred Astaire Westerville studio. Paris danced for the Arena Football League The Columbus Destroyers in 2019. She also represented with her team the AFL league in Washington, D.C. Paris now has moved back to Toledo to finish her education at The University Of Findlay to obtain her Masters of Occupational Therapy.

Alexys Wenzel, Staff
